As many of you know, UNITY Church of Jacksonville is a wonderfully ecclectic mix of people from all walks of life. We are a family and community of people always looking forr ways to spread light, love and joy. What better way to do that than throw a big party sharing some of our favorite outfits with some rocking good music.
Our dear Katherine Avery planned, coordinated, envisioned, constructed, AND COOKED her way through a dazzling fun time. She's in charge of our volunteers here in Unity but also in charge of pulling out all the stops with a huge heart. Her energy and determination are admirable. Can you imagine working a full time job, only to run an event like a full time job? She did it with love and a lot of help from her work and Unity friends.
It was a huge success as our models strutted their stuff on a silver and blue runway with colored lights and twinkling stars. Unity was so full of laughter and smiles, something we believe every community needs in abundance. If you were here for this special afternoon, we thank you. If you couldn't make it, we hope to see you at our next big bash.
Unity would like to thank Katherine, Arrow, Megan, Allan, Angi, Donna, Vicki, Arnold, Tom, Steve P., Steve T., Gary, the Reverend Marcia, the models and the style help, the love and support of UNITY members, everyone who attended, and everyone else that pitched in behind the scenes. As the author of this post, I, Robin, would like to thank everyone that helped make this a fun and wild ride. Let's do this again sometime!
